FAQs

Lithium batteries degrade based on cycles, usage, storage, heat, and maintenance – that’s true for any marine electric motor. For RemigoOne, we suggest that these batteries typically last 8-10 years for most users. When the internal battery eventually needs replacement, a new battery module can be ordered, but for proper sealing and waterproof integrity, it should be installed at an authorised service centre by a dealer technician.

Yes. Neo includes a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty when purchased through RemigoUSA.com. Warranty repairs and servicing are handled by the North American dealer network, and you get support from a domestic dealer – not an overseas export grey-market purchase.

Yes. The motor swaps in like a 3–6 hp gas outboard.

  • Weight: 29 lbs (motor only) / 34 lbs (with bracket)
  • Shaft: Continuously adjustable to match traditional outboard height using imperial transom tolerances

If your current outboard shaft works on your transom, Neo’s adjustable length will match it without needing to modify fitment.

Neo charges via standard 110 V AC systems, and an optional 12 V DC charger kit is available for moored or anchored use. Many owners plug into their yacht’s inverter overnight, while solar/DC top-ups are practical when moored or offshore.

Yes. You mount additional transom brackets per tender, then lift Neo by the fold-out tiller handle and drop it onto any bracket. One motor, multiple inflatables, zero cable or fuel sprawl.

Yes, if used correctly. 1500 W boost mode thrust is for short bursts to punch out of chop or against light head-current, not for running 8 hours straight. Keep it pinned in boost and you’ll shred battery – same rule as running any gas kicker flat-out.

It’s night and day. A 2–6 hp outboard screams like it’s loaded with chain, fumes drifting back into tubes. Neo runs near-silent, clean, and you don’t need to shout to be heard.

Aluminium unibody construction with sealed internals handles salt and fresh water tougher than most small gas kickers by design. Routine care is rinse-downs and anode checks – not carb cleanings, oil changes, or starter cords throwing tantrums.

Yes. Button-stepped speed control prevents grab-and-twist surprises; magnetic kill key stops the motor instantly when pulled. It’s a far more predictable setup than a gas pull-starter with a twist throttle.

No. If you purchase through RemigoUSA, the motor ships domestically inside North America, meaning:

  • No import duties
  • No tariffs
  • No customs forms
  • No port brokerage nonsense

You’re buying from the U.S. source, not importing a motor across borders.

Yes, for what actually matters: instant starts, 4 hp-equivalent thrust, zero fumes, no gas cans, no carb servicing, near-silent operation, and swap-friendly mounting that matches a premium yacht experience.
